Maths Bomb
Maths Bomb was originally developed as one of the curriculum-based games in Steel City [see portfolio]. The content - adding and subtracting money - is mapped to entry levels 2 and 3 and level 1 of the adult numeracy curriculum.
In this game, a money-based sum is displayed at the bottom of the screen with a missing element [or a gap] and a series of bombs, each displaying a possible answer, slowly falls down the screen.
Players complete sums by choosing the right bomb to fill the gap before the bombs reach the bottom of the screen and explode. And although these are cartoon bombs, there is a sense of urgency as they get ever closer to the bottom of the screen.
