Jo works for DESQ part time. She is a qualified social worker and her main job is project co-ordinator for a Sheffield-based charity.
Originally Jo was employed part time to deal with the company finances, but as DESQ grew this became a full time job. Now Jo's main role is in HR, offering support and mentorship to the directors and providing support, advice and supervision for other staff.
Jo is still involved in the financial dealings of DESQ and we also often utilise her skills as a fresh pair of eyes and a reality check in assessing the effectiveness and ease of use of our materials. She's fantastic at asking 'and what am I supposed to do here?'...
