Producer
DESQ is a family run interactive learning company based in the heart of the Cultural Industries Quarter, Sheffield. We have an international reputation for creating learning materials across a range of platforms.
You will join an experienced and exceptionally talented producer team and will work on a range of game and computer based learning projects for high profile education and media clients. You will report to the Senior Producers and the Operations Director. This position is for an 18 month maternity cover contract.
- You will be an experienced producer/project manager with a broad knowledge of multimedia development for web and CD-ROM delivery.
- You will be an excellent team player with dedication, tenacity and attention to detail.
- You will have at least 2 years' experience of digital production in a relevant commercial environment. Experience of elearning and content management/development will be an advantage.

Pay scale: £24 - £30k pro rata depending on skills and experience. This is a full time position, but enquiries from those wishing to work part time (0.8 and above) will also be considered.

Flash freelancers wanted
Long and Short term contracts.
Flash developers are wanted to ease workload on an internal team. You will work on one or more of a range of game and computer-based learning projects for high profile education and media clients. We are looking for in-house workers for fixed-term contracts and remote workers for smaller discrete projects.

Production Freelancers
We're always updating our network of freelance production staff to meet resourcing requirements during busy periods and for contracts on specific projects.
Of particular interest would be freelancers with an interest in education and gaming, offering skills in any of the following areas:
Graphic designers - including experience of:
Interface, web and game design for usability and accessibility. An understanding of web technologies and their application including HTML, Flash, CSS, etc.
Illustrators
Character and environment design, 2D animation. We work on a wide range of projects so whatever your style we’ll be interested.
3D Modelers/animators- including experience of:
Character modeling and animations, storyboarding and scene design. 3D production for the web, including associated tools such as 3DS Max/Plasma, Maya, Nendo, Flash and Director.
Flash & ActionScript developers - including experience of:
Data-driven, dynamic content, utilising external text files, XML files and JavaScript data sources. Desktop application development combining flash with other tools such as SWF studio Flash Jester, Visual Basic or Director.
Web developers - including experience of: HTML, DHTML and CSS, and associated tools including Dreamweaver. Web scripting languages such as JavaScript.
