Directions to The Workstation - from the train station
The Workstation is less than 5 minutes' walk from Sheffield station at the junction of Sheaf Square and Paternoster Row. The entrance to The Workstation is on Paternoster Row.
Walk out of the train station and bear left. Cross over the road at the pedestrian crossing, with the Showroom ahead of you. Pass onto Paternoster Row, passing the Showroom Cinema on your left.
The Workstation reception is opposite the former National Centre for Popular Music (large steel drum building) on your right.
Ask for 'DESQ' at The Workstation reception.
How to get to DESQ by car
Leave the M1 at junction 33 and take the dual carriageway towards Sheffield city centre. Follow the road right into the centre of Sheffield, through a set of traffic lights and on to a large roundabout called Park Square.
Position yourself in the third lane from the left and at the roundabout go straight over, taking the fourth exit sign-posted to Sheffield Hallam University.
Follow the road up the hill and then after approx 200 metres the road bears to the left on to a dual carriageway. Continue to follow signs to Sheffield Hallam University.
Follow the dual carriageway through a series of traffic lights passing the Crucible Theatre on your right and an Odeon Cinema and Hallam Uni on your left until you reach a small roundabout.
At the roundabout turn left onto Furnival Street. When the road splits into two at the Rutland Arms, follow the road round to the right onto Sidney Street and you will immediately see an NCP car park on your left.
To get to The Workstation, turn right out of the car park and continue past the 'Persistence Works' building on your right and the Rutland Arms on the left.
The Workstation is on your right opposite the 'Steel Drums' (the former National Centre for Popular Music).
